NAGPUR: For everyone who has grown up seeing movies about twin brothers sharing that special connection, here’s a slice of real life.
Unidentical twins Sanket and Saurabh Khemuka have scored almost identical marks in the std X
CBSE exams, the results of which were announced on Friday. Sanket notched up 96% and while Saurabh was close on his heels at 95.6%.
Both are students of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan since nursery.
The twins are sons of Shailendra Khemuka, proprietor of an electronics showroom, and Preeti, a housewife. Just like in the movie twins — the kind in which onee’s a cop, the other’s a thief — Sanket and Saurabh are also diametrically opposite to each other..
Their mother said, "Sanket is quite naughty and hardworking, while Saurabh is soft and brainy. But it’s the healthy competition between them that got them these near-identical marks. One used to study till 3 am while other would start from there till morning."
So, while Sanket studies in the mornings and swears by the ‘understanding the theory’ method of study, Saurabh prefers the night time for studies, using the rote learning method. Since both of them were in different sections of the class, their friends circle is also different.
Even on the relaxing front, Sanket prefers playgrounds and Saurabh prefers his computer screen. Sanket’s role model is Saurav Ganguly and Saurabh likes Hrithik Roshan.
Speaking to TOI, Sanket said, "From our methods to the timings of our study, all are different, still it’s strange how we got identical marks." In spite of all the general differences between them both have a common aim to make it to the IIT’s. However, even here, Sanket aspires to be a mechanical engineer, while Saurabh aims to be a computer engineer.
